Breena Nuñez identifies as Afro-Latina and specifically as an Afro Guatemalan-Salvadorean. Nuñez’s preferred pronouns are she/her/they/them, and she identifies as a non-binary womxn. She is based in San Francisco, CA by way of San Bruno, CA and South SF, CA. She’s best known as a cartoonist with work featured nationwide.

Nuñez received a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Latina/o Studies and Fine Art in 2012 from San Francisco State University. Nuñez then earned a Master of Fine Arts in Comics from California College of the Arts in 2019. Outside of earning degrees, Nuñez speaks at events and schools throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Also, she presents her work at major art shows throughout the United States.
